At Pythagoras Street Coaching academy we provide tutoring of Mathematics , STEM and French language for all ages. We conduct both Group and individual sessions. We are a fully industry endorsed with our accreditation with Accredited Tutor. This gives the Peace of mind for parents, knowledgeable and accountable tutors for the students and fully alliance with industry code of conduct.

Lesson plans are mainly student-driven with Tutorials, Presentations, Home assignments and various Assessments. We constantly practice Talking aloud, putting pen to paper, format skills and self-questioning together with a strong approach for Problem Solving Process. We place a storing focus on differentiating instructions and instructional techniques with an eye towards to best meet the need of a range of learners. We aim to give our students the tools they need to enjoy learning and thrive academically.

Differentiation

We believe that not every student is the same. Everyone brings their own set of skills and uniqueness. Every student has their own set of thinking skills and cognitive process. Consequently, as tutors, we need to establish a strong focus on each student’s needs and provide a differentiated delivery and instructional techniques to better suit their learning styles. We Endeavor to follow a good visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic teaching style to deliver the content. This gives the ideas and concept to deliver in a visual mapping format with proper explanation by talking through the idea and with a practical hands-on approach.

Communication

We thrive to learn more about individual requirement by accepting and admiring their uniqueness and listening to them with a strong level of rapport building with the students and give them confidence. We always try to build a good communication that will give the capacity to encourage, reinforce and support the student throughout the journey. We set forth required knowledge with the relevant communication technique. Not only students we always try to keep a strong communication with parents in order to provide the right amount of feedback.

Lesson Planning and Preparation

Our preparation of lessons is mainly designed for the specific group or individual to achieve a level of mastery and proficiency. With each preparation of presentation, assessments, and other ad-hoc type events, it gives a strong level of focus, direction, order, structure and timeliness to each session. We believe a proper lesson preparation is the key to keep the attention, keep a sense of control with the right structure, and finally manage time effectively.

Gayan is the founder and the lead tutor at Pythagoras Street Coaching Academy (PSCA).

Gayan has an extensive experience for over 12 years tutoring Mathematics, Industrial electronics, and other technical subjects to various age groups. Over 10 years’ experience as an Electronics Engineer and a Certified instructor of Automated test and Virtual instrumentation software for Defence, Academic, Automotive, and other Industrial sectors.

He possesses a strong academic background with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Computer Systems) (Honours) and a Master of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing Technology) from Swinburne University Hawthorn.
